    fto gpx manual

Interchanging the pre-facelift and the facelift bumper unit is a relatively simple matter and, as the latter version models have become write-offs over the years, there are many pre-facelift models now on the road that are sporting newer facelift bumpers. Future purchasers of an FTO should be aware of this. A simple check of the VIN Plate details, or the period of manufacture to be found on the seat-belt tags, should resolve any uncertainty as to the origin of the model-build. Apart from body styling, there are other less apparent differences in the facelift models, including an uprated ECU and also distinct variations to the drive shaft units across the range such as 25 or 27-spline shafts and CV cup variants, as well as fitment for ABS or non-ABS shafts and bearings for same. Many items were cosmetic in nature, such as stickers or chromed goods, although more substantial styling pieces such as side skirts and spoilers were also available. Practical items such as a passenger air bag, installed in the dashboard above the glove box, or ski-racks were also listed. There were also special 15 and 16 inch PIAA alloy wheels. Strut braces, as found standard on the GP Version R for example and machine-stamped RalliArt, were also available via the Mitsubishi association with the Ralliart franchise. These included installation of an aftermarket rear fog-light and its illuminated dashboard switch to meet UK legislation (Not OEM, or a requirement in Japan). An easy-visual check for fitment of ABS to an FTO is to look in the engine bay - an alloy block, with six brake pipes emerging, will be present behind the battery and down against the bulkhead. ABS was standard equipment on facelift models. The only company now stocking numerous parts for these cars is www.viamoto.co.uk.For example, an FTO first registered in Japan in 2001 will therefore be at least a year old (from the last Production Year of 2000).A DE3A prefix refers to 2.0 6A12 engine.Replacements are black plastic).

This compact Coupe FTO can effectively be seen as a replacement for the earlier Mitsubishi Colt 11-F Super Sports. There was also a 1439 cc Saturn engine, offering 92 PS (68 kW). In October 1973 there was a minor facelift and the lineup was restricted to four versions, with the EL, the GS and the four-speed SL versions cancelled. Production gradually came to an end in August 1975, after the introduction in March that year of the more staid Lancer Celeste. The only body style was a 2-door coupe, and all FTOs were front wheel drive. Either an inline-four or a transversely mounted V6 engine was available, mated to either a 5-speed manual or the INVECS-II semi-automatic transmission. On the pre-facelift models there exists a minor difference in the lower intake - on some earlier models there are two blanking plates on either side, thus reducing the size of the aperture. (These can be seen, either side of the number plate, in the image of the yellow GPX Limited Edition below). The 4sp and 5sp automatic gearboxes use a different gear ratios and top speeds differ. The GR LE was only available in Pyrenees Black, Passion Red or Steel Silver. The two supplementary fog and indicator paired units became four separate circular lights, each recessed into the new bumper. The headlamp internals were also changed to incorporate the vehicle's side lights, but their external design remained. An HID Option was also made available. As this model was lightweight, items such as side skirts, front fog lights, climate control, electric folding mirrors and sound insulation were left out.On the GS and GR models aircon operation became manual from Feb 1997.However, by 1997 this option for the facelift models, found standard on the GP Version R, was similar to that of a Torsen type.

An HID Option was also made available. As this model was lightweight, items such as side skirts, front fog lights, climate control, electric folding mirrors and sound insulation were left out.On the GS and GR models aircon operation became manual from Feb 1997.However, by 1997 this option for the facelift models, found standard on the GP Version R, was similar to that of a Torsen type.Interchanging the pre-facelift and the facelift bumper unit is a relatively simple matter and, as the latter version models have become write-offs over the years, there are many pre-facelift models now on the road that are sporting newer facelift bumpers.

Recall code RJ-1122-2: For the same dates and models in recall above, the bracket securing the glovebox had insufficient space to a wiring loom, possibly causing interference to the wiring due to long-term vibration. Both recall instances and corrected models (18th Jun 2004) have a white or yellow paint dot on the bottom bolt head of the passenger door lower hinge.Archived from the original on 2011-09-28. UP START: DWN.TRART: the scanner initiates scanning downward. The effect is similar to that provided by a “Tone Control” in a stereo. It may be used for configuration of a wide variety of transceiver param- eters, some of which have not been detailed previously. Use the following procedure to activate the Menu mode: 1. FRONT VOX SENS Sets the VOX sensitivity. The FTM-10SR will return to the AF Dual function. FM HOLD: You may listen to the FM Broadcast station while monitoring an amateur band frequency. HOLD: When a signal is received on the Club Channel, the FTM-10SR will receive the Club Channel continuously, and will not restart the Club Channel monitor. HAM BAND: The FTM-10SR considers the 144 MHz Amateur Band and 430 MHz Ama- teur Band to be one band and scans it when the scan mode is engaged. This is not a reset operation. SF3 RSET MSG: Resets the messages to factory defaults.

This feature prevents your transceiver from transmitting a “dead carrier” for a long time if the microphone PTT switch is accidentally locked in the “TX”. The FTM-10SR will turn off and back on again.Obstacles between the BH-1 and the FTM-10SR may shorten the communications distance. If you move out of range, the beeper sounds a low pitch tone. If you move back into range, the beeper sounds a high pitch tone. When the amateur band signal drops, the FTM-10SR will remain in the amateur band continuously, and will not revert to AF Dual function. Some systems just use CTCSS to control access to the repeater, but don’t pass it along when transmitting. If the S- Meter deflects, but the FTM-10SR is not passing audio, repeat steps “1” through “4” above, but rotate the DIAL knob CTCSS TONE FREQUENCY (Hz) so that “TONE”. Your repeater system may be configured for DCS. Note: The FTM-10SR does not recognize the order of the 1st tone and the 2nd tone. In other words, for example, the FTM-10SR considers both CTCSS pairs “10, 35”. When the EPCS is activated, the “T” icon will blink during operation. These DTMF Autodialer memo- ries can store up to 16 digits of a telephone number for repeater autopatch or other use.The transmitter will hold for 1.5 seconds after completion of the DTMF Memory string. So press the function button and select the Beacon button. Up in the corner of the display you’ll see either a hollow circle or a solid circle. You’ll want the solid circle as then the radio will beacon at standard intervals. The hollow circle means Smart Beaconing and we will talk about that in my advanced APRS for the FTM-400 video.I can add them to an advanced APRS operation with the FTM-400. Right now I have BandB set to scan some local public service channels and APRS is set on but no packets seem to be sent. The short answer to your question is yes. BandB needs to be set to 144.390 (or your local APRS freq) and it needs to say on that freq (otherwise you'll blast some other freq with your data). Additionally, you need to ensure ARPS Modem is enabled in the settings and beacon-ing is enabled as well. I hope that helps! If you have other questions feel free to message me. I've had the FTM-400DR for months and have worked out all the bells and whistles. Not quite what I was hoping for but understandable. If you are wondering what Amateur Radio is about, it's basically a two way radio service where licensed operators throughout the world experiment and communicate with each other on frequencies reserved for license holders. The YAESU brand has consistently represented the best in communications equipment to the world's Top DX'ers for almost half a century. APRS, or the Automated Packet Reporting System is a real-time tactical mode that allows you to transmit your geo location and send and receive short messages and beacons. What I like about the FTM400 is that everything you need is included inside the radio: the GPS, Tracker Module, and Display. Not only don’t you need any additional accessories, but you don’t have to worry about cables or connections breaking. But this popular radio has a very deep APRS menu, so today I’m going to break it down and show you how to get started with APRS quickly and easily. We’ll tackle the advanced features in a future video. So I’m going to download my settings to an SD card and work on it in the comfort of my shack. To get started tracking, I’ll first want to tune the B band to my APRS channel. Next I’ll go into the APRS menu and turn on the modem. The radio will start decoding packets on the APRS channel. At this point, I’m not transmitting until I turn the beacon on.

The differences to the earlier available FTM-400DE are an improved GPS receiver with with 66 channels, which offers a shorter time to first fix (TTF). Further the FTM-400XDE will be equipped with a small, easy to open cap on the top, allowing quick and easy firmware upgrades without opening the radio as before. Compared to other digital modulation schemes within FDMA, C4FM has excellent communication quality (BER: Bit Error Rate characteristics). C4FM is the standard method for professional communication devices in FDMA, and is therefore considered to be the main stream digital communication mode in the future. This feature packed radio is our first Digital Mobile equipped with our new Automatic Mode Select (AMS) function that instantly detects the received signal mode. The AMS function enables stress-free operation and eliminates the need to manually switch between communication modes. Simultaneously the other half of the 12.5 kHz band width channel is used for error correction of the voice signal and other data. By incorporating powerful error correction technology developed for professional communication devices, effective error correction codes provide the advantage of fewer interruptions to conversations. The Clear Voice technology developed for the C4FM FDMA Digital mode provides the ideal balance of error correction and sound quality. The transceiver automatically switches to Data FR mode when transmitting snapshot pictures, and can be used to transmit large quantities of data at high speed. Also the use of established Yaesu low power circuit designs provides greater efficiency than the digital modes. The FTM-400XD performs perfectly well using both Analog FM and C4FM Digital. The icon symbols, multi-function key display and pop-up messages are all displayed in high-resolution color thanks to the full-color, high luminance TFT liquid crystal screen. The settings and status of the wireless devices are displayed in an easy-to-understand format.

In addition, this radio thanks to the Yaesu Dual Mode system, of course can transmit in Analog FM.The FTM-400XDE has a 3.5-inch color touch screen. The Transceiver is controlled with this touch screen. The number of control buttons is reduced to 4 buttons and keys. All important settings are selected directly by pressing on the display. The FT-400DE supports 3 Digital and 1 Analog Mode. In this time slot in addition to the voice data, the GPS data, the ID data is sent together. These data includes the call data for error correction and stabilize the Voice transmissione. The Voice FR Mode use the full rate for Voice Transmission in high quality. Thus, the transmission does sound very clearly and naturally. In addition to the digital mode, the FTM-400 can also use analog FM. This mode allows the normal FM operation. The new FT-400DE has an automatic mode switching. The received mode is then automatically transferred. Also for APRS operation this mobile device is with a integrated GPS ready for use. An extensive menu covers everything to be QRV immediately with no additional hardware in APRS. Detailed instructions can be found on the homepage of Yaesu or here here. With the optional camera microphone MH-85A11U you can easily take snapshots on a micro SD card (not included) or send it to another C4FM transceiver. With the large displays images can be viewed directly from other stations. The images also contain the precise GPS coordinates and allow it to navigate directly to this position. The Yaesu FTM-400XDE has a wideband receiver from 108 MHz to 999 MHz. The transceiver can receive two frequencies simultaneously, which may be different or even in the same band. In addition, the FTM-400D offers the possibility to use the transceiver as a cross-band repeater. The transmitter operates on the 2m and 70cm with an output power of max. 50W, which can be reduced to 20 W or 5W. Differences FTM-400DE, FTM-400XDE Since autumn 2015 Yaesu has introduced the FTM-400XDE.

The detached head is mounted on my 4WD pickups dashboard and is very secure using the included double sided tape. Even in 95 degree heat it has not come loose. I have the radio mounted on top of my center console on it's lid.

You can perform various operations simply and easily by gently touching the screen. External GPS devices can be connected. Press the microphone shutter button to take snapshots, and then the image data can be displayed on the screen, and easily sent to other C4FM FDMA digital transceivers. This image data also retains a time record and the GPS location data of the snapshot. It is easy to navigate to that pictured location by using back track function. In addition, you can observe on the screen, whether or not transmitted data was successfully received by the member station. The snapshot image or received data is stored in a high capacity micro SD card. You can recall and send that image data from the SD card anytime. The pictures and data files may be easily viewed and edited by using a personal computer. This useful function not only enables you to see which friends are within communication range, it also permits you to see at a glance where all group members are located. Additionally, this function can be used to send messages and image data between group members. The Digital Group Monitor applies to direct communications between members; it is not applicable through a repeater. Is there a difference between a beacon from a repeater or I-Gate versus RF. I am going to have to RTFM again before the upcoming possible flood season. This is above and beyond the manual that comes boxed with the radio. Everything is covered in much greater detail. There are also separate manuals for the GM and WIRES-X functions of the radio. All can be downloaded from the Yaesu website for free. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. However, I am see very unconsistants results with APRS on band B. I have tried smart beaconning, regular beaconning and and even a force manual beacon. I have all the settings right, I think. 8 yrs or so ago, I used to run the dual band Kenwood TMD-700 and it worked flawlessly. Could the local repeater be responsible for any inconsistancies. I haven't traveled yet to another major town with repeaters to rule that out. I do have the little circle and the solid dot showing in the top of the display. Also, Do I have to be on the APRS memory location on Band B for APRS to work, or does it run in the background if I am monitoring another freq on Band B? 73 N1JWW Jeff W WaldropWhen you turn on the beacon modem it will transmit on whatever frequency band B is set to. Also in the settings area under APRS set your call with the proper -X for fixed, mobile or whatever the case may be. Also check for the proper baud rate. BobIt's quite possible that the digipeater in your area is no longer on the air or has moved. Have you checked with it's owner about it's status. Is the radio transmitting. Are you receiving other APRS stations. Are you not appearing on the internet like with aprs.fi? It's possible that the local digipeater is still quite functional but there is no igate within range. Digis and igates are usually owned and maintained by individual hams who out of the goodness of their heart and their own pocketbook install and maintain them for the rest of us.

If the infrastructure is no longer there your radio won't do much on the APRS mode.Register for a free QRZ account. For a better experience, we recommend using another browser. RECENT ACTIVITY Ken Whitcomb 8 hrs Very happy with my installation in the F250. Good volume with internal speaker even with console closed at highway speeds. OLDER Mike Quinn 14 hrs Greetings all, Quick question. This will be my first Winter season with the FTM-400 in my truck. I have a mag mount on the dash for the head unit and I just pop it off and put it in my center console to keep it out of the sun, however what would you recommend for when it is very cold. Should I take it in the house. I know liquid crystal has an issue if it gets too cold. Thanks. Mike Quinn KM4JZA See more Mike Coleman 15 hrs I have recently embarked on a couple of projects related to my FTM-400 and my FT-3DR. Understand that I run Linux at home and really do not want to have to invest in a Windows computer. My goal is to be able to program both of these radios via the computer. To that end, I am looking at the back up files produced by both radios. I am able to parse them and rewrite them. However, to be complete, I need a real memory map of these files. Does anyone have any experience with this that may help. AB8UM Rocky Schiffel 7 hrs Thanks for the add. Thanks for the add. Aljosa Golubov 16 hrs With the yaesu adms-7 program I programmed about 250 frequencies for A band. I would like to enter the same frequencies for the B band. If I mark everything on A band and try to copy everything to B band, it only copies the last one. Is there really no faster way than copying each frequency separately. Thanks! Shawn Neupauer 18 September at 17:53 I don't feel I should need to say this.

Using the included mounting bracket there is plenty of room for the cooling fan and the speaker is on top so it is close enough to my right ear I can clearly understand all the audio even at expressway speeds. No extension speaker is needed. The microphone cable is long enough it does not stretch and the microphone has a numerical keyboard that has multiple functions. The detached display offers several different colors to select from. Brightness is adjustable and at full brightness is easily viewed and read even from outside of the truck in the brightest noon day sunlight. Audio clarify is superb and using a repeater from 30 miles away, here in NW Ohio, the audio is crisp, clear, loud, free of static and easy to understand. This radio is a joy to use. I bought mine from an outlet that has a dealer discount, plus the current manufacturer discount, both of which are still in effect, making the total purchase cost much less than the retail cost. The included, fused, wiring harness was more than long enough to wire the radio direct to the vehicle battery. I also installed an APO power monitor so that the radio will fully disconnect after 10 minutes when the engine is off. This time delay is adjustable and can be fully bypassed with the APO bypass switch. If you decide to invest in this radio be sure to check out the manufacturer rebate and any dealer rebates. As above, they significantly reduce purchase cost. Note: the manual is extensive and takes some study but it does have a lot of information on operating features and how to program them. For much easier and faster programming I opted to buy the RT Systems ADMS-M3200 Programming CD and USB cable. Using the RT System greatly simplifies programming and will have you on the air almost instantly. However, it is still very helpful to study the manual until you are familiar with it. There is a lot of important detail in the manual that will help you learn how to properly use the radio's many features and capabilities.

It's almost like e-mail. You might even start making APRS QSO's. Easy to hook up to a raspberry pi to download APRS packets. Programs with a SIM card. Every HAM will say you have a great radio. Plenty of power for what ever antenna you choose. The interface does take some time but once you get used to it it's not too bad. When you receive an APRS message, operating the transceiver during the delay time will cancel sending an auto-reply message.JVCKENWOOD Corporation shall not assume liability for any defects, nor warrant anything other than is expressly provided in the agreement. John AC4JK It has been over a year since I have, so cannot be more specific. I do not have TFM downloaded on the computer I am currently using. It is available from the Yaesu web site. But if you think a posted question is beneath your astounding IQ. Then don't answer it.And yes, i checked out the pins from the 10 Pol Data in the manual. But now, here iss the prob. I connected (by useing single pins) TX MMDVM to PIN 1 (Data input yaesu), PTT MMDVM to PIN 3 PTT Yaesu, GND MMDVM to PIN 2 GND Yaesu and RX MMDVM to PIN 4 Yaesu (9k6 Data output). NOTHING HAPPEND.
