The detached display offers several different colors to select from. Brightness is adjustable and at full brightness is easily viewed and read even from outside of the truck in the brightest noon day sunlight. Audio clarify is superb and using a repeater from 30 miles away, here in NW Ohio, the audio is crisp, clear, loud, free of static and easy to understand. This radio is a joy to use.
